A Unique Automotive Creation
When you have the resources, you can create a vehicle that doesn't exist in the market. This is precisely what Mark Zuckerberg did for his wife, Priscilla Chan. She wanted a minivan, and since Porsche doesn't offer one, Zuckerberg commissioned a custom creation from West Coast Customs: an elongated Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.
The Customization Process
The project involved stretching the Cayenne Turbo GT to accommodate more passengers. While the exact cost of this bespoke family hauler is unknown, the standard model starts at over $200,000. Zuckerberg's automotive collection also includes a matching 911 GT3 Touring with a manual gearbox and a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
Porsche's Minivan History
Interestingly, Porsche has dabbled in minivan concepts before. In 2018, they created the Vision Renndienst, a unique minivan concept with six seats. However, it was only a scale model and never went into production. The custom Cayenne doesn’t feature the Vision Renndienst’s central driver’s seat layout but likely offers a more conventional seating arrangement.
Future Possibilities
Porsche plans to release a three-row electric SUV by 2027, which might serve as a more official family hauler for the Zuckerbergs. Until then, their custom Cayenne Turbo GT remains a testament to what can be achieved when imagination meets resources.
